Before making this teapot, I was inspired by the work of Jake Johnson, from Jake's Clay Art. He's a ceramic artist that lives in Virginia. I really liked the forms that he made; they were simple, really cute, and looked elegant (in a way). He created 100 teapots and they are on display in Chicago, Illinois. All of his forms mainly used two colors so, I wanted to include that in my design by not going crazy with the colors. I knew that I wanted the design of this teapot to be similar to the one i did on my sugar and cream set, so that it'd look like it was meant to be together. To create this piece, I used porcelain clay as the medium.
